HastelloyB-2 melting temperature range Melting temperature range 1330~1380℃
Hastelloy B-2 welding Hastelloy B-2 can be tungsten electrode shielded gas welding (GTAW/TIG) or gas shielded arc welding (SMAW/MMA) under certain circumstances. The material to be welded should be in an annealed state to remove scale, oil stains and various marks. The area of the base metal on both sides of the weld with a width of about 25mm must be ground to a bright metal.
The thermal conductivity of Hastelloy B-2 is lower than that of steel. When using a single V-shaped welding interface, the angle should be 70°, and low heat input should be used, and the interlayer temperature should not exceed 120°C. Oxidation can be removed by brushing while the weld is still hot. Some applications require post-weld heat treatment to relieve residual stress and improve stress corrosion cracking resistance.
